Vicar charged over child porn images
A VICAR and father-of-two has been charged with 17 counts relating to child pornography.
Rev Adrian Fereday, who preaches to congregations in Woodsetts, Firbeck and Letwell, is accused of making and possessing indecent images of youngsters.
Fereday is currently suspended by the Diocese of Sheffield, which maintains that church services in the affected parishes are being taken looked after.
"Mr Fereday was charged with 16 offences of making indecent images of children and also with one offence of possessing indecent images of children," said a South Yorkshire Police spokesman.
He is due before magistrates in Rotherham next Tuesday at 10am.
