THERE might be a shortage of dentists, but members of a history group have had a glimpse of pulling teeth during medieval times.

Chris Felton, from demo group Knights in Battle, showed the out-dated medical techniques and gruesome cures to Kiveton Park and Wales History Society last Thursday.

"It was fantastic to see all the old instruments, which look like they would do more harm than good these days," said John Tanner, from the history group.

"It was a great evening, we were all really happy to have them come and visit us."

"Everyone enjoyed it, these types of demonstrations are great for bringing history to life."
